CANARY WHARF - Drama LIVE TV
During 1 year's contract Jules helped set up and direct 3 half hour episodes per week. As a result she learnt to work to a very tight schedule, and direct drama in often-uncontrolled environments with a documentary sized crew. |
|
1994/96 |
Assistant producer BBC1 TV
PRISONERS IN TIME
Single factual drama to mark the 50th Anniversary of V.J. Day. Jules approached and secured Eric Lomax (‘The Railway Man') to tell the story of his imprisonment by the Japanese during WWII and the subsequent reconciliation that took place with his interrogator nearly 50 years later.
Jules secured John Hurt to star in it and Ariel Dorfman to write it. She also played a significant part in script development and assisted the Director, Stephen Walker, during filming. Because of the nature of factual drama, Jules worked extremely closely with all the people involved during the production and after transmission. |
