Based at Shepperton Studios, Sara Putt Associates is the leading independent UK agency for film & television heads of department – providing personal management and representation within feature films, TV drama and documentaries for over 30 years. Alongside the Agency, the Diary Service provides diary management and production knowledge for crew.  The company also runs a scheme for trainees & assistants, nurturing new talent & providing support to those at the start of their careers.  Sara Putt Associates collaborates with film & television agents in the United States whilst working alongside UK literary agency ‘Sayle Screen’.

Sara Putt

Sara established the Agency in 1989 and has been working as Managing Director and Agent here ever since.  Producer of a number of short films, including the BAFTA nominated ‘Tattoo’, Sara is a BAFTA Trustee and is Deputy Chair of the TV Committee.  From 2014-2020 Sara was Chair of the BAFTA’s Learning & New Talent Committee, she is now also a Trustee of the Film and TV Charity and Deputy Chair of WFTV.

Kate Watson

Kate has worked with Sara for over 20 years helping to build up the Agency.  She represents clients in both film & TV drama and has built up a steady list of great people; representing a number of departments including; 1st ADs, Editors, Costume Designers, Sound Mixers, Hair & Make-up Designers & Stunt Co-Ordinators.

Laurily Adams

After graduating university Laurily worked within the video research department at ITV, followed by a stint with a touring theatre company. While working as a junior booker at London based model agencies ‘Rage’ & ‘Ugly’, she became interested in being a talent agent. In 2009 Laurily joined Sara & Kate as an office assistant, and is now an established agent, representing experienced Heads of Department as well as technicians.

Nicola Lees

Nicola has worked in television in London and NYC for more than twenty years. She runs the Sara Putt Associates Trainee & Foundation Schemes, providing outreach and new talent development for new entrants working in craft and technical roles. Prior to joining us, Nicola worked in Development at the BBC and ran the WFTV Mentoring Scheme for mid-career women.

Brenda Coxon

Brenda joined the Sara Putt team in 2012, after working for many years on productions such as; The Harry Potter’s, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, V for Vendetta and The Borrowers through companies including Cinesite and MagicCamera. With her background in Production Accounting, Brenda now heads up the Accounts Department and is responsible for all the client invoices and payments.

Kelly Spearman

Kelly worked as a production runner at Pinewood, Shepperton & Leavesden before going to work for ARRI, she gained knowledge of ARRI lighting kit before moving on to the camera sales team at Visual Impact in Teddington.  Kelly is Sara’s assistant & the office manager, ensuring the smooth day to day running of the office.

Morgana Melvin

Morgana was previously part of the BFI Inclusion team where she specialised in skills and inclusion below the line. Alongside the BFI film academy, Morgana worked with new talent from the future skills trainee programme & Lucasfilm partnership, helping alumni find work and navigate the freelance world.

Melissa Hill

The newest member of the Sara Putt team is Melissa, a whizz with numbers, spreadsheets and payments.  Brenda’s right hand woman.  We’re delighted to have Melissa join us and be part of the Sara Putt core team.
