Delyth Scudamore Producer

Delyth developed and produced ‘A Very British Scandal’ written by Sarah Phelps and directed by Anne Sewitsky for BBC1/Amazon. In the last two years she ran Blueprint’s television slate of prestige and genre projects, including a 10-part thriller about the Troubles by Enda Walsh based on the Israeli series ‘Fauda’, and a returning fantasy series based on the ‘Dark Gifts’ Trilogy by author Vic James, written by Seth Sinclair. She has a fantastic reputation with writers, directors and agents, and great relationships with broadcasters & SVODs which include BBC, Amazon, Channel 4, Netflix, Disney & Apple. As well as pitching, Delyth continues to script edit and storyline, working closely with writers to develop their voice and tell compelling stories. Recent talent relationships include Nina Raine, Yann Demange, Misha Manson Smith and Dipo Barruwa Etti. Her taste is populist, intelligent and character-driven storytelling that entertains and pushes boundaries.

Delyth joined Blueprint Television alongside Executive Producer, Dominic Treadwell Collins, and received their first greenlight with ‘A Very English Scandal’ for BBC1/ Amazon within the first year. She developed UK and international projects with writers including Laura Wade, Daisy Coulam, Anya Reiss, Graham Norton, Simon Ashdown, Patrick Gale, Archie Maddocks, Haleema Mirza, Thomas Eccleshare and Matthew Barry. Her first book option CLEAN by Juno Dawson was immediately picked up by Channel 4.

Developed adaptation and scripted edited with Russell, liaised with Lucy Richer (BBC) and Morgan Wandell (Amazon) to provide notes. Responsible for research, legal & editorial compliance for BBC factual drama. Worked closely with Dan Winch to ensure smooth translation of script to screen.
Winner – Golden Globe, BAFTA, RTS, Rose D’Or and EMMY

Worked with a range of writers – new and experienced – to produce BAFTA winning prime time continuing drama on a fast turnaround.

Responsible for continuity and research, block editing, writing copy for art department and neg checking.

Researched story ideas and storylined with writers including Howard Overman, Julian Jones and Caleb Ranson. Responsible for reading and logging submissions, liaising with agents, finding new talent and keeping abreast of new commissions.

Responsible for amends, research, continuity, copy and translations.

Freelancer at the then start-up company.  Researcher for Nigel Williams.

Replaced Assistant Script Editor for final block of filming.

Commercials & corporates. Responsible for filming logistics, call sheets, hiring of crew, studio and location facilities, scheduling, insurance, reel editing and IT support. Clients: Findus, Nokia, DHL, SC Johnston, KPMG & Unilever.
