My Mad Fat Diary – Emmy Nomination

The second series of My Mad Fat Diary has been nominated for an International Emmy in this year’s category of Drama Series.
The show is set in 1990s Lincolnshire and revolves around Rae Earl, an overweight teenage girl who is released from a psychiatric hospital. It follows Rae as she struggles to make friends and find romance while battling personal mental issues. Throughout its run My Mad Fat Diary has received critical acclaim for its realistic portrayal of mental illness and had already been nominated for a BAFTA.
