ITV have released a trailer of their new 3 part series Black Work featuring, the recently appointed, Sheridan Smith OBE in the lead role – PC Jo Gillespie.
Set within Leeds and the Greater Yorkshire Police, Black Work opens with the grim discovery of the body of Jo’s husband – undercover officer DS Ryan Gillespie. Distraught, Jo takes it upon herself to track down Ryan’s killer but, confined to compassionate leave, has to rely upon friend and fellow officer Jack Clark (Matthew McNulty) to assist. As their investigations develop Jo becomes increasingly suspicious of all around her, with dark secrets leading her down dangerous paths.
Supporting cast includes Douglas Henshall and Geraldine James as Jo’s superiors DCI Will Hepburn and Chief Constable Carolyn Jarecki. This series also features the work of one of our clients – costume designer Darren Finch.
