The Television BAFTA Nominations were released this morning, and we are delighted to see so many productions that our clients have worked on over the last 12 months recognised.
In the Television Mini Series category 'In the Flesh' (Co-Producer; Jules Hussey, Costume Designer; Yves Barre) will go up against 'The Great Train Robbery' (Line Producer; Tracie Wright, B Camera/Steadicam; Danny Bishop), 'SouthCliffe' and 'The Fall'.
Jules Hussey also sees another production she worked on nominated in the Single Drama Category. 'Complicit' (Script Executive; Hilary Norrish, Line Producer; Jules Hussey, Director of Photography; Jan Jonaeus) was a feature length drama which followed MI5 agent Edward Ekubo who has been monitoring a suspect for a number of years, convinced he was to make an attack on British soil Edward must race against time to prove his theory.
'Complicit' faces competition in this category from 'The Wipers Team', 'Black Mirror: Be Right Back' (Sound Recordist; Chris Ashworth, Editor; Ben Yeates, B Camera Operator; Jon Beacham) and 'An Adventure in Space and Time' (Line Producer; Matthew Patnick, Sound Recordist; Simon Clark, A Camera Operator; Danny Bishop, Boom Operator; Sarah Howe). Taking us back to 1963 'An Adventure in Space and Time' told the story of how Dr Who first came to our screens.
'Toast of London' (Director of Photography; Pete Edwards) is nominated in the Situation Comedy category as well as 'Him & Her: The Wedding' (Production Designer; Simon Rogers). Within the Radio Times Audience Award category the critically acclaimed 'Broadchurch' (Editor; Tim Porter) has been nominated.
Derren Brown: The Great Art Robbery (Sound Recordist and Boom op; Martin Clarke) has also been nominated in the Entertainment Program Catagory.
'Broadchurch' also sees another nomination in the Best Drama Series Category where 'My Mad Fat Diary' is also nominated (Director of Photography; Giulio Biccari).
The Awards will be held on the 18th May. Good luck to all the nominees.
